St Martin de Pouzes
This attractive chapel stands on private land near the hamlet of Pouzes near Pézènes-les-Mines. The pale stone, rectangular plan building is decorated with some black volcanic stone above windows and doors. There are also some very good stone carvings over the windows and supporting the arch over the door. The interior is very plain with a simple stone altar in the semi-circular apse. Outside, opposite the door, tall cypress trees shelter a horseshoe shaped seating area.
The chapel is on private land with no public access.
